TV Tokyo announced on April 13th that it will voluntarily take four business days off starting on April 15th (Wednesday) through April 20th (Monday) as a preventative measure against the novel coronavirus.
According to TV Tokyo, “We aim to reduce the employee participation rate to 20% or less”. Broadcasting on TV Tokyo and BS TV Tokyo will continue as usual.
TV Tokyo has gradually reduced the numbers of employees going to working since the end of February and since April 3rd, it has reduced the number of employees going to working by about 30% and are working at home.
TV Tokyo said that after April 21st, they will review the situation happening in Tokyo.
