Bunshun has released an article featuring former classmates and acquaintances of Kimura Hana. Here are excerpts from the article.

In the article, a 16-year-old Hana is seen dressing like Jasmine from the Disney film “Aladdin” during Halloween in Shibuya.

In 1997, after her parents divorced, she moved to Katsushika, Tokyo where she lived with her mother for awhile.

When she was in elementary school, she kept a pig as a pet and was always trying to catch it when it tried to escape. During that time, she was learning wrestling. Her neighbors said her mother was very disciplined and remembered her to be a pretty girl.

A classmate from her elementary and junior high school years said that she would listen to Kimura. Hana belonged to the judo club and remembered Kimura to be direct but yet kind.

Another acquaintance remembers Hana for her love of dancing and DJ’s. They would always talk about music and dance to the point that she also attended a dance school.

The acquaintance didn’t know her mom was a professional wrestler, but they both became friends because of they loved dancing and about a month after they met, they went to watch RIP SLYME perform at Zepp Diver City in Odaiba.

But as Hana became busy with school, dance and part-time work, their chances of hanging out and staying in contact decreased. They would contact each other on LINE but because she was so busy, she didn’t respond back that much and they would eventually have no more communication.

Kimura dropped out of high school when she was invited by her mother to enter professional wrestling college in 2015, which was represented by professional wrestler Mutoh Keiji. She would make her ring debut in March 2016 and has been part of Stardom since 2019.

A former “Weekly Gong” (a pro wrestling magazine in Japan) journalist, Ito-san, who had interviewed Kimura Hana talked about how there were two types of heel (villains) in women’s professional wrestling. One is the large Showa/Heisei type heel with a large physique and the other is a beautiful heel and how Hana had a beautiful face and a wrestler who became a beautiful heel.

She was the same height as her mother Kyoko and had a wonderful physique as a female professional wrestler and understood her role as a heel.
