Miyawaki Sakura’s graduation concert featured a few guest surprise appearances

Miyawaki Sakura’s graduation concert is now over. But fans will get to see Sakura again perform with HKT48, although this was her graduation concert, Sakura requested from staff that she wanted to do one more HKT48 stage performance at the end of the month.

Miyawaki Sakura’s graduation concert at Marine Messe Fukuoka brought out 4,000 people to the venue (following protocols to prevent the novel coronavirus) and the concert was streamed live to 41 countries around the world.

The concert featured many appearances from former HKT48 members, including former leader, Sashihara Rino and Kodama Haruka.

Sashihara Rino came out and told Sakura that she will support her forever and ever and one day, when she makes more money than her, she can take her out to sushi.

Kodama surprised everyone when she came out. Kodama was one of the group’s aces who left the group immediately without a graduation concert due to her mental health. Kodama congratulated Sakura on her graduation.

The concert also featured a goodbye between older sister and younger sister (Sakura and Yabuki Nako, who were also members together in HKT48). The two performed their IZ*ONE together “As we Dream” together:

Best friends, Sakura and Murashige Anna wore the same outfits for the beginning performance and at the end together. Murashige told Sakura that she will be lonely but to let’s continue to be friends until they are old and gray.

Murashige later tweeted, “Absolute friends in the past and in the afterlife”.

IZ*ONE’s Honda Hitomi also shared a video for Sakura and how she looked up to them and they became a close family together looks forward to seeing SakNakHii together again.

The concert was no doubt a beautiful send off for Miyawaki Sakura.

Sakura said, “I made my debut in 2011 and looked back on my idol life for about 10 years. I have a lot of memories for 10 years, and when I think back now, I think all of them were good memories. Of course, it’s hard to cry. There were a lot of difficult things, but I think I am what I am now because I overcame them, so I think I had a really good 10 years after finishing this concert today.  Furthermore, about HKT48, HKT48 is a family. I think that I have spent a longer period with them than my family for the last 10 years, and I think that everyone could have overcome difficult things and experience happy things, so this is important. I’m wondering if I’ll be able to meet new friends for the rest of my life, so as I graduate, I want to keep in touch like a family member even if I’m away, and I want to be friends forever. I want to be able to play an active role in a different world even if I leave HKT48, so I will continue to do my best.”.
