The editorial department of the serialized magazine “Weekly Shonen Champion” has revealed that the next issue of the popular gag manga “Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku” (by Hamaoka Kenji ) will be on hiatus for the first time in about 23 years.

The hiatus will be the first since the issue released in November 2000, and the series will resume in issue 36+37, which will be released on August 3.

Regarding the reason for the hiatus, the author, Hamaoka, explains at the end of the book, “Next week, ‘Urayasu’ will be go on hiatus. “It’s a family trip. I’m sorry!!” Although it has been announced that it will be on hiatus for the first time in 30 years, the serialization of the work started in 1993. There is a possibility that the serialization took a break as soon as it started, but fans on the Internet pointed out that it was the first hiatus in 23 years.
