Hanshin Tigers and Orix Buffaloes continue to top the NPB

The Hanshin Tigers and Orix Buffaloes continue to top the NPB. The Tigers have a 5 game lead ahead of the Hiroshima Carp in the Central League. While last year’s NPB champions, the Orix Buffaloes have a commanding l0.5 game lead ahead of the Chiba Lotte Marines in the Pacific League.

Surprisingly, the Yakult Swallows who were the champs in 2021 and were in the finals last year (lost against Orix) have fallen to second to last place and are 22.5 games behind the Hanshin Tigers.

It’s always imnportant to note that in the NPB, these standings will change as we near October. Can Hanshin and Orix stay on top?
