Onishi Momoka becomes the 33rd AKB48 member to announce they are graduating

AKB48’s Onishi Momoka (26) announced her graduation from the group at Team K’s “Sakaagari” performance held at a dedicated theater in Akihabara, Tokyo on the 10th. She plans to graduate in mid-February next year.

The announcement makes Onishi the 33rd member to announce graduation this year. Even in October, the rush to have event graduations with Asai Nanami (23) on the 1st, Saito Hina (19) on the 4th and Otake Hitomi (24) on the 8th has not stopped.

Onishi joined AKB in 2014. She won first place at the 2017 event “AKB48 49th Single Senbatsu General Election x SHOWROOM”. She was nicknamed the “5:30 a.m. girl” because of her SHOWROOM broadcast times.

On this day, she announced, “I, Onishi Momoka , will graduate from AKB48. It’s been 10 years since I joined AKB48 and before I knew it, I had become an adult. I experienced the highest level of all emotions, happy and happy, sad and painful, in AKB48. It’s an irreplaceable treasure. Thank you to everyone who found me and everyone who came to love me. I am truly a happy person to be loved by so many people.I would appreciate it if you could watch over me for the rest of the year”.
