AKB48 member Okabe Rin announced she is graduating next spring

The 39th member of AKB48 has announced they are graduating from the group. This time, Okabe Rin (27) announced she is graduating next Spring.

Okabe wrote in a handwritten message, “This is my 10th birthday since joining AKB48. The encounters, memories, decisions, and experiences of the last 10 years are all treasures. As long as I have this treasure, no matter where I go… even if I’m alone, I’m sure I’ll be okay. The time has finally come for me to say these words. For the sake of the group…I want to take a step on a new path towards my future! I, Okabe Rin… I will graduate from AKB48. I received everyone’s support and love, and even though I was a nobody, I gained confidence! I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have any regrets, but I feel like I was able to enjoy my youth in AKB48. I think so! Until this spring, when Team 8 celebrates its 10th anniversary…I want to enjoy the rest of my AKB life! I think I’ll be able to make another happy announcement in a little while, so I’d be happy if you look forward to that as well”.
