AKB48 General Manager Mukaichi Mion has resigned, Kuranoo Narumi becomes the 4th generation GM

Mukaichi Mion, the third general manager of the AKB48 group, updated her X after Kashiwagi Yuki’s graduation concert held at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama on the 16th. She reported that as of this day, she resigned as general director, a position Mukaichi has served since April 2019 (also having the title the longest).

Mukaichi reported on her own X, “As the third general manager of the AKB48 group, I have resigned as of March 16th. Looking back, a lot of things have happened since the day I ran as a candidate in the general election.I couldn’t have made it this far without everyone’s support, and this time spent thinking about my beloved AKB48 was my treasure. Five years! Thank you so much!”.
