Fuji TV President Endo Ryunosuke met with the news media in regards to “TERRACE HOUSE” and Kimura Hana’s death

Fuji TV President Endo Ryunosuke met with the news media on May 29th in regards to “TERRACE HOUSE” and the death of pro wrestler and “TERRACE HOUSE: TOKYO 2019-2020” cast member, Kimura Hana.

Regarding the mental health care of the castmembers, Endo said, “We are presently unaware” and “We will perform sufficient verification in the future”.

Kimura is believed to have committed suicide and the cause was due to slander on SNS.  Various voices are still seen on performer’s SNS such as malicious comments such as “Terrace House ended because of you.  Die instead!”.

Endo said, “We believe that such criticism should be directed to us, those who produced, broadcast and distributed the programs.

In regards to those who continue to receive hate comments online, Fuji TV said, “We will continue to share information with the production side and respond to the situation depending on the situation”.  And that counseling by specialists will be conducted according to level of need.
