Tanaka Reina leaves stage play due to differences with stage production

Former Morning Musume member Tanaka Reina, who has been focusing on acting in recent years, was to star in the stage play of “Ken ga Kimi-Zenrosai no Mai-Replay” which was to be performed on June 2-6 at Tokyo Kokumin Mutual Aid coop Hall/Space Zero.

But on April 9th, it was announced that Tanaka was dropped from the play and Hamaura Ayano from the former idol group Kobushi Factory (Magnolia Factory) will be replacing her.

On the official website of the play, it is mentioned that “Due to various circumstances, Tanaka Reina, who plays the role of Kayo was forced to leave the stage. We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences caused to customers who were looking forward to the performance.  Hamaura Ayano will play the role of Kayo.  All the performers and staff will do their best to practice for the first performance day.  We sincerely ask for your continued support”.

Tanaka’s agency, Up Front Create, announced that “There was a difference in the way of thinking between the stage production side in order to proceed with the performance soundly and smoothly, so as a result of discussions between the two companies.  As a result, we regret to say that we have decided that she would be leaving the stage at the discretion of the office.  We apologize for any inconvenience and concern to everyone who was looking forward to the performance and thank you for your understanding”.
