"Urusei Yatsura" staff apologized for using a Comiket menu as a background without permission

Back on February 12th, an artist posted that their Comiket Menuw as used without permission as a background for episode 17 of “Urusei Yatsura”.

The official website of the TV anime “Urusei Yatsura” was updated on the 27th, and reported that in the 17th episode of the broadcast on February 9th, an existing design was used without permission for part of the background. We will modify the design of the relevant parts and replace them sequentially when we use this work for distribution, broadcasting, packaging, etc.”.

The user who’s artwork was used without permission posted that he has not received an apology, nor had he receive any contact from the anime production staff.

うる星やつら17話の背景素材の件でTwitterの公式アカウントでお詫びがあったらしいですが、私にはコンタクトがないので、多分同じシーンの隣のふすまの下の方に貼ってあった埼玉を中心に展開するスーパー、ヤオコーのチラシの事でしょう。
